Former President Bill Clinton Says American Dream’s Been Under Assault For 30 Years

Bill Clinton’s Straight Talk on Lagging U.S. Economy Former President Bill Clinton says the American dream “has been under assault for 30 years” while speaking about jobs and the economy at the Clinton Global Initiative’s annual meeting. He takes a slight jab at the far right conservative rhetoric that is being dogmatic in American politics today and the attack on government regulations that have taken place. FYI, Clinton is smarter than you. Thoughts? Additional: http://www.clintonglobalinitiative.org/ http://news.yahoo.com/decade-difference-concert/

Dr. Oz vs. FDA Over Arsenic In Apple Juice 4

Dr. Oz vs. FDA Over Arsenic In Apple Juice

Dr. Oz, heart surgeon and talk show host, went on his tv show recently and warned consumers about the arsenic levels in the Apple Juice we drink and give to our kids. He had several off the counter brands of apple juice sent to a lab in New Jersey and tested for their arsenic content. The report he got back indicated that the apple juice had a much higher than safe amount of arsenic in the juice. The makers of the juices and the FDA weren’t too happy about this and called foul. The FDA fired off letters to the...

NJ taxpayers Covering “Jersey Shore” $420,000 Tax Bill

New Jersey’s Economic Development Authority approved a $420,000 tax credit for the production costs of the first season of MTV’s reality show “Jersey Shore”. The governor, Chris Christie, isn’t a fan of the show and supposedly said there is nothing he can do about the EDA’s decision. The governor had supposedly closed this tax loophole already to cover a budget deficit. With each of the core...

Tea Partier’s Applaud Letting The Uninsured Die

Ron Paul was asked a hypothetical question by CNN’s Wolf Blitzer during the Tea Party debates regarding whether or not a 30-year-old man who had a terrible accident should be left to die if he had no medical insurance. There was a brief burst, from a few members of the audience, of applause and a couple shouts of “Yea!” To be fair, yes even to the Tea Party, it was only a couple of people out of the entire audience that seemed to respond in the affirmative. However it is still an uncomfortable idea that fellow citizens would wish that...

Do You Feel Safer In The 10 Years Since 9/11? 0

Do You Feel Safer In The 10 Years Since 9/11?

An interactive poll using Google Maps technology asks the question “Do you feel safer in the 10 years since 9/11?” The responses are shown on the map with the answer and the location of the person who responded. Of the total votes taken so far, most say they do not feel safer. Even more interesting is that for each vote a discussion thread is created along people to clarify their answers and others to ‘debate’ them. What about you? Does the active war on terror, heightened security measures, TSA rules, death of Osama Bin Laden or any of the policies...
