Dozens of people have been arrested in New York after police shut down a protest against Wall Street financial firms. The organiser of the demonstration, a group calling itself “Occupy Wall Street”, used social media to call for peaceful protests against what they describe as corporate greed in America. While on a peaceful march near Union Square in downtown Manhattan, multiple female protestors were penned up in the street by orange mesh baricade, then maliciously maced.   The Occupy Wall Street protest continues in Union Square at the time of this posting. Troy Davis has been in jail since 1991 for the shooting death of police officer Mark MacPhail. He’s set to be executed tomorrow.
