The city moved a bus stop about 60 feet away due to the smell of an elderly homeless woman who has taken up residence under the shelter for the past year. Citizens complained to the city about the smell of the woman living at the bus stop on Kapiolani Boulevard. Those that had to catch the bus at that stop didn’t like waiting there because the smell was so bad. Oceanside, CA Police officer Matthew Lyons stops a citizen carrying a holstered gun and performs a validation check. The citizen is well within his rights to carry a weapon in public and the police officer agrees. In my estimation the guy obviously did this on purpose in order to be approach by an officer so he could try to make a statement about his right to bare arms. New York is hosting a 10 year memorial commemoration of the September 11, 2001 disaster but the survivors won’t be allowed to attend. Apparently space is limited and only the families of those that lost their lives on that day are on the guest list. This will be the first year the ceremony will be held at the new 9/11 Memorial.
