Video Comparison:Does Veteran Shot At Occupy Wall Street Prove US Hypocrisy

Update: Anonymous claims Officer Scott Bergstresser as the shooter of Scott Olsen

Take the above footage from the recent Occupy Oakland situation where Iraq Veteran Scott Thomas Olsen was shot in the head by police and is unconscious in critical condition with a fractured skull, brain swelling and brain damage risk and compare it to the words American leaders use to market it’s image to the world in the short film “I AM NOT MOVING – Short Film – Occupy Wall Street” by Corey Ogilvie.

The words America uses are beautiful and noble. Democracy. Freedom. They are easy stances to take when the protests are happening in other countries. When the protests don’t up end your system or when the success of those protests are in your favor it is easy to stand on the side of righteousness. What about when they are on your door step and at odds with your system. It’s not an unknown that this system is broken, unfair and corrupt. It’s not a surprise that people are upset. Where are those words and the actions to back them up in this case. Sure some politicians have spoken in favor of the idea of Occupy Wall Street and what the people stand for but have made no concrete moves to show that support. Where are leaders like Hilary Clinton or President Obama in cases where the police are obstructing and brutalizing protestors at Occupy locations? Where is the example of our belief in exercising the rights we try to impress the rest of the world with by saying we have and admonish their leaders for not allowing? Is this hypocrisy? Is the above video the reality and the below one the marketing?
